Corporate Bond CD Description


The name of my band is Corporate Bond. The name that was randomly chosen for their CD title is “Your Greatest Source of Learning”. The style of music for this band that I chose is Rock because the name of the band seems like it would be some kind of rock band. Their personality would be really energetic because that’s how rock music is. This band seems like it would have maybe like 3-4 people in total in the band with a lead singer, someone on guitar, someone playing drums and then someone else doing a whole bunch of other instruments depending on the song they’re singing.

The font I chose to use for most of the CD cover is called 48Rock, I looked all over the internet for typical fonts used in rock CDs and this one looked the best out of all the fonts I found. The main color scheme I used in this CD was black because it matched everything like pictures and text and really made certain things on the CD cover stand out more. The CD itself I made look like a speaker because it looks really cool seeing how many speakers are round and the CD is round itself so a speaker look for the CD will look real interesting.

Since the CD title is called “Your Greatest Source of Learning” I decided to use the learning part a lot in the entire CD I added books and sheets of music throughout this cover and in the inside cover I even had a guitar blended into a background of a window and how it looks in a rainy day to make it connect with the whole rock theme.

Here are 3 bands that are also Rock style of music.

1.The Rolling Stones

The first band example I chose was The Rolling Stones. This CD album was the number one rated album all over the world for most of 1971 which was the year it came out. They have been around since 1962 and are still releasing albums today showing just how popular they are and how long they've been popular.

2. The Beatles

The next band I chose for an example is The Beatles. They are one of the most famous rock/pop bands of all time. This is a picture of their first ever CD "Please Please Me". It was released in 1963 and stayed ontop of the charts for 30 consecutive weeks.

3.ACDC

ACDC is a rock band that has been around since the 70s. They are a real popular modern day rock band. This CD cover is a cover of their newest CD "Black Ice" which was released in 2008.

The name of this band is Malcolm Island. Malcolm island in real life is actually an Island located in British Columbia. The picture of the water and rocks has nothing to do with the Island, the picture is just some random picture taken by someone on Flickr. I think this band could be an old fashion band with like 5-6 people in it. The name really seems like something a group of people might have thought up of and their lead singer would be someone named Malcolm. The colors just seemed to work in this picture because of the sky color and it reflects into the water and it really gets color from the rocks and slightly red sand. The CD title was picked randomly and it was said around the early-mid 1900s.

The name of this band is Orba X-2. The wikipedia site randomly selected this name for me. Orba X-2 is actually the first satellite that was launched by a British rocket. This band seems like it would be some kind of techno type of music thing because of its name. The picture that I randomly chose seemed to actually fit the name real well because it has cars and stuff in the picture and cars are technology just like the name of the band. 2 main British colors are red and blue which is the reason why I chose those 2 colors for the font. The CD title was pulled out of a list of random quotes. The quote I took was fairly long so the amount I took out of the quote was like half of it. This band could be British because of the name being from a British Satellite. The other reason is that alot of techno music is from the UK and since this name really sounds like it is a techno type of band and the name is from Britain, that just makes things go together even better.

This photo is a picture of 3 Futurama characters from the cartoon. There is also the space ship from the show in the background in the sky. The other picture is the green building and yellow brick road from the Wizard of Oz movie. It looks wierd because its a cyclops, a robot and a human in space suits in a cartoon drawing with a space ship placed into a real life picture. I created it by cutting out the Futurama picture by using the polygon lasso along with the magic wand tool. I adjusted the color of the Futurama characters and the space ship. I also changed up the texture of the background by doing things like using the filter tab and selecting many different options that adjusted the picture. To get the shadows I copy and pasted the pictures of the characters and just rotated it and used the inner glow feature and make it dark so it looks like a shadow. After doing all that, I got the picture that is shown above all of this writing.

Composition:Linear Perspective and Shape

Linear Perspective is the distance from the lens of the camera to the scene relative to each other.

Shape helps people recognize an object in a picture.It also adds interest into the composition. A combination of different shapes adds variety. The reason these 2 images were chosen was because both of them have a main shape in the picture that really stands out. If you took away the main shape from this picture the picture would look real plain. There are also a few other shapes in the pictures so there is more of a variety of shapes in the picture.
